Merry Christmas!

Hello Everyone! We hope you had a wonderful and safe holiday. We are back from our trip to Ontario to visit Grandmama G and the rest of the family. We had a busy time but we enjoyed it too. While we were away Dominic learned lots of new things. He's talking up a storm now including; doggy (and woof woof), kitty (and meow meow), knock knock (while banging on a door), pointing at everything and asking "Dat?", he's giving high fives and much more. I can't believe how quickly he catches onto things now. He tries to repeat everything you say and is always trying to learn more. He seemed to enjoy the "present opening" experience even if he didn't really understand what it was all about. We would give him a present and he would rip off a piece of the paper and then think that was the gift and go away with the paper. It took him quite a while to open a gift but we had a great time watching him. He got a lot of great thing for Christmas, his baptism and his birthday. Thank you everyone!!!

Dominic's Baptism

On December 23 we had Dominic baptised. It was a very nice ceremony and although we didn't have many people attending it was still special. Dominic wore the Rathy family Christening Gown that was made in 1951 for his great uncle Rick and has been worn by every child in the past 3 generations. We felt very luck for him to be able to continue the tradition. Here are some pictures for you to look at, we hope you like them.

Happy Birthday Dominic!

Well as most of you know Dominic turned one last week; December 7. We had a lovely cake the night of his actual birthday (thank you Grandmamma G) and then we had his party yesterday. He had a great time mingling with everyone who came to see him and share in the good times. Dominic had no interest in opening his presents while everyone was there but his friends and family were very generous to him. He got a wooden table and chairs from his Mommy and Daddy and his Aunt Kristy did a wonderful job painting it all the colours of the rainbow. Granna and Pa got him a big-boy swing set for next summer, Grandmamma G got him a gorgeous new coat, hat and mits and he got new blocks, bath toys, some new clothes, and other great learning toys. He also got a couple of very special gifts; a cereamic plate for his bedroom wall and a picture mat that everyone at the party signed for him. Thank you everyone for making Dommy's first birthday so fantastic!!! Love and kisses to all of you.

'Tis the Season to be Busy!

Hello! Seasons Greetings to everyone. We're in full swing over here with all the festivities that December brings. All of the parties have begun. We have 4 birthdays in just this week alone and today Dominic went to his friend Olivia's birthday party. She turned 1 and we had a great time sharing it with her.

After we went to Olivia's party we went to the Shaw Kids Christmas party. It was out at Spruce Meadows and boy did we have a great time! There was so much fun to be had. Dominic had his picture taken with Santa twice (sorry we don't have those pictures on our camera), he saw Reindeer, he touched the Magicians dove, he got a balloon hat, he received a great present from Santa's Work Shop, and he had a few yummy snacks too.

This is Dominic opening his first present ever! He didn't open the whole thing by himself but he made a good effort.
