September...New Beginnings!

Hello Everyone in cyber world! I can't believe it is fall already. Summer was so busy and flew by, although I wish we'd had better summer weather. Here are some of the things we did through the end of August and into September.
Grandma Gail was here for a week at the end of August. We got to celebrate her birthday with her. Dominic really enjoyed helping blow out the candles on the cake.
....and help eat the chocolate covered cherries off the top of the cake too!
A big birthday hug.
Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "boys" are well adjusted now and happy to be members of the Wilson Family. Thomas is the one on the left and Brother is the one on the right.
A fun pajama party with cousin Madisyn in their new jammies.
A bit of wake up time watching Cars with Brother after a nap.
I can't believe I'm showing you all this hideous picture but here is The Tin Cup Cafe Outhouse Race Team. "What?" you ask....
Every year in Cochrane The Heavenly Outhouse hosts The Outhouse Races on Main Street. I subjected myself to cruel and unusual punishment by signing up for this humiliation. In all honesty, it was good fun. And yes, we were supposed to look that stupid. LOL!
Someone makes himself right at home around here.
This is probably one of the most significant pictures we will ever take. This is Dominic on the morning of his first day of pre-school. He's all ready with his back pack and Cars lunch bag.
Here is Dominic "driving" our new boat. We took it out to Ghost Lake for a spin this evening. It was so wonderful! We captured a few other nice pictures below as well.

New Updates and Summer Pictures

Hello Friends and Family! I know it has been a long time between posts. We've been increasingly busy around here. There are not enough days in the week anymore. I've posted a bunch of new pictures to catch you up on our summer adventures. Enjoy!
One evening we went for a drive out to Bergen for ice cream and on our way we spotted this moose. It was so neat to see.
We also saw this beaver down at a little lake we stopped at on the way home. He was busy ferrying these weeds across the lake to his home.
This weekend we are "trying" out this kitten. Dominic and Mommy have been begging for a kitty for a long time and a friend of ours had some. So we're giving it a trial go and we'll see what Daddy thinks. Dominic has named him Thomas.
He's a sweetheart! And apparently I call him that a lot because now Dominic says "Hello little sweetheart" to him all the time. lol. this is one of Thomas' favorite spots to sleep; in Dominic's booster seat.
Yesterday we went for lunch with some friends; Susan and little Kaitlyn. Dominic really likes babies.
Here is Dominic enjoying some of Pa's home cut fries out on the patio.
Here are Hayden, Madisyn and Dominic having a hug on Canada Day at the golf course before heading out to the festivities.

Dominic with his Tiger face at the fair.
Del has been working so hard around the yard the past couple of weekends. Here he is putting in the new garden in the front. He also put in a pond, but I'll post "after" pictures another day. Oh and there's my new little car out on the street. :-)
Here's Dominic watering some plants for me while we were putting them in the garden.
This is Dominic's new sand table. He loves it! Daddy said he wanted to wear this jacket...shorts with a snow jacket? lol
This is after his bath one night in his new summer jammies from Gammer Gail, all ready to read Go Train Go (it's a Thomas book), his new favorite.
Daddy and Dominic enjoying a nice cold treat one hot evening.
A sticky-sweet kiss for Mommy.
The first morning that our contractor Andy came to work on the yard, I thought Dominic was going to burst! There was a Bobcat in the back and a dump truck out front and he kept running back and forth through the house to watch them. He didn't know which way to look.
Here's some of the first destruction. It's coming along nicely now and I'll post the finished pictures soon...I hope!
The bobcat digging out the hill in the back. Can't wait for it to be done and have a real yard!!!!

Hope to talk to you all again soon. I'll be putting up more pictures soon so you can see the finished products of both the front and back yards. And of course to keep you up to date on Dominic. Thanks for taking the time to look at out pictures. Bye for now!

Nana and Aunty Kayla's Visit

Nana Linda and Aunty Kayla came to visit us at the end of May. It was so nice to see them again and have them stay with us. Looking back at the pictures, I guess we didn't take very many except on our trip to the zoo. But it rained a lot while they were here and Dominic was sick and cranky so I guess there weren't that many photo-ops. But here are the ones I have.
Kayla and Dominic at the Budda-Elephant.
Dominic getting up close and personal with the elephant.
Linda and Kayla
Dominic's favorite part of the zoo...the play place.
Checking out the hippo.
Enjoying a cool treat.
Nana and Dominic with the blue Dinosaur (blue dinosaur???)
Looking at the fish.
Kayla and Dominic; he loved the dinosaur exhibit.
I love this picture! Giddy up Aunty Kayla!
We had a wonderful time with them while they were here, but it was so short and we miss them a lot now. Can't wait to see you again!!!!

The Wiggles!!!!

Today was probably the biggest day in Dominic's life so far. We went to see The Wiggles live in concert!!! I didn't think he would understand if I told him we were going so I hadn't said anything until this morning. And even then he didn't get it. Once we got there and he saw all The Wiggles stuff around, I think he started to put it all together.

After a quick potty break, we are ready to go find our seats. Does someone look a little excited?

This is Dominic after seeing the big Wiggles sign hanging above.

Complete awe!

Here comes some excitement...and The Wiggles.

The big entrance in The Big Red Car.

Anthony, Jeff, Sam and Murray

Wiggles tickets: $185
Wiggles souvenirs $40
This face: PRICELESS!

Dorothy The Dinosaur

I think this was when Captain Feathersword came out.

Dominic's new Wiggles Backpack, that he had to wear right away.

And when Daddy bough him The Big Red Car light stick.
After leaving he had a quick snack and passed out in the car. He was so tired. I thought all along that he would be up dancing and signing like he does at home, but he stayed very close and was very reserved. I think he was a little overwhelmed and more in awe than anything else. This was a great experience for us all and I will treasure these memories forever. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

P.S. I wonder if he was the only kid at the concert wearing authentic Wiggles underwear??? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
